Fish Species:
Historically this lake had an abundance of lake trout (char) in 2002 the sampling of the lake showed no stocks of Lake trout, a sad comment that we might have lost this species from the lake. The test results in 2002 showed the lake has a large amount of Northern Pikeminnow (formerly known as squawfish) as well as Lake Whitefish, Lonenose Suckers, Course Scale Suckers, Rainbow Trout (low numbers), Cutthroat Trout, and Redside Shiners.

Signs still say you must release any Lake Trout that you catch here.

LOCATION: Located on the north side of the Babine Lake Road at km 49 from Hwy 16 east of Smithers.

This site is not really a good place for larger RV’s such as motor-homes, the campsite is quite nice but the its too close to the main road meaning a lot of traffic noise.
