As a local I have to admit I was blown away when we decided to go there for a day trip, this is a lake stocked by taxpayers, advertised on the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC website, but closed to the public because a private firm gated it shut. Not to be be left high and dry we decided to fly a drone in to see what they are protecting or hiding from the public.
It appears as if they have an exclusively tax payer funded fishing lake, scroll down we have done footage.
Why are taxpayer funding fish in this lake?
Taxpayers have been funding the stocking of this lake since 1992 with both Cutthroat and Rainbow Trout
So somehow Driftwood Timber Limited is allowed to block the road to the lake, it leaves us baffled and angry, this should be illegal.
